Highlights from Day Five of Dubai Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2026

Dubai, UAE, 6 September 2025: Day five of Dubai Fashion Week (DFW) opened with a bold and immersive showcase by THAT Concept Store, setting the tone with its striking multi-brand Fall/Winter (FW) 2025 presentation. The day came to a close with an inspiring runway by FAD Institute, where over 20 emerging design talents unveiled innovative collections rich in experimental techniques and conceptual storytelling. From established voices in contemporary luxury to the next generation of fashion creatives, the day captured the full spectrum of Dubai’s dynamic fashion landscape.

DFW, the region’s definitive fashion fixture, runs until tonight. The event is co-founded by Dubai Design District (d3), part of TECOM Group PJSC, and the Arab Fashion Council (AFC).

THAT CONCEPT STORE

THAT Concept Store returned for a second consecutive year with a dynamic multi-brand showcase, unveiling its FW25 women’s ready-to-wear collection. Set against the backdrop of the East Hall at the DFW Complex, the runway unfolded as a curated celebration of global and regional design talent.  From sculptural balloon silhouettes and reimagined denim to fluid drapery and fringe, the collection was a bold interplay of textures and form. Rich autumnal tones were enlivened by pops of colour, while standout accessories - ranging from fine jewellery to statement footwear - elevated the looks with sophisticated edge. The presentation reaffirmed THAT Concept Store’s role as a tastemaker in contemporary luxury, championing individuality, innovation, and self-expression through fashion.

BUTTONSCARVES

Buttonscarves captivated audiences with its ‘Lucent Dusk’ collection - an elegant and refined showcase that marked another milestone in the Indonesian brand’s international journey. Presented in a muted palette of neutrals, the collection emphasised luxury through its use of satin, jacquard, tweed, cotton, and organza, while intricate beadwork and embossed detailing added layers of sophistication. A striking moment came with the debut of the brand’s signature bags in exaggerated sizes, blending fashion-forward design with artistic statement. The collection reaffirmed Buttonscarves’ rising influence and commitment to elevating modest fashion on the world stage.

OTTÉ

Otté presented a serene yet commanding runway display that encapsulated the essence of quiet luxury. The brand, rooted in elegant minimalism and intentional craftsmanship, showcased its Spring/Summer 2026 (SS26) collection through clean, relaxed silhouettes crafted from sumptuous fabrics and grounded in a timeless palette. The garments exuded effortless sophistication, designed to move harmoniously with the wearer, and evoke a sense of understated confidence - an aesthetic that mirrors the brand’s ethos of style with intention.

JASPER CONRAN

Jasper Conran London delivered a showcase that radiated timeless elegance with a distinctly modern edge. Known for his refined British sensibility and decades-long influence across fashion, costume design, and interiors, Conran brought his signature blend of contemporary styling, bold colour, and exceptional craftsmanship to the SS25 runway. The collection featured beautifully tailored dresses and sophisticated accessories that reflected his enduring design ethos - polished, versatile, and confidently feminine. With this presentation, Jasper Conran London reaffirmed its place as a brand that celebrates effortless style while honouring a rich legacy of creativity and cultural impact.

TARA BABYLON

Tara Babylon made a striking impression with the debut of her ready-to-wear SS26 collection, a vibrant celebration of cultural heritage and contemporary femininity. Hand-painted florals, watercolour prints, and abstract roses - an homage to Iraq’s national flower - graced the runway in dreamy hues of Middle Eastern blues and turquoise. The playful, tea-party chic aesthetic offered a versatile mix-and-match appeal, seamlessly blending elegance with whimsy. In addition to ready-to-wear, Tara unveiled a stunning couture capsule flown in from New York, featuring intricate embroidery inspired by ancient Babylonian motifs and Middle Eastern artistry. Known for fusing Western glamour with deep-rooted cultural narratives, Tara Babylon delivered a show that was both visually enchanting and richly symbolic.

FAD TALENTS | FAD INSTITUTE

FAD Institute of Luxury, Fashion & Style took the spotlight yesterday, closing the evening with a bold and imaginative showcase featuring over 20 emerging design talents. The runway came alive with a diverse mix of ready-to-wear and prêt-à-porter collections, each piece reflecting a strong creative identity and experimental spirit. From asymmetric tailoring and sculptural silhouettes to intricate textile manipulation and modern corsetry, the showcase was a masterclass in innovation.  Inspired by themes such as heritage, architecture, and surrealism, the collections highlighted the future of fashion as envisioned by FAD’s next-generation designers. As the region’s leading fashion institute, FAD continues to shape the creative landscape through its industry-integrated programmes across Dubai and India, empowering young talents to make their mark on the global stage.

In a celebration of creativity off the runway, Day Five at DFW also featured the launch ceremony for a special collaboration between famed designer and DFW member Michael Cinco and automotive brand SOUEAST. The special art car designed by Cinco was unveiled in the presence of senior executives, media, and partners.

DFW’s final shows tonight will be:

- Lili Blanc
- Weinsanto
- Emergency Room
- Les Benjamins

DFW’s success is possible due to strategic partnerships with leading global brands, including SOUEAST as automotive partner, Dyson as the official hair technology partner, Kiko Milano as the official make-up partner and Waldorf Astoria as the official hospitality partner. The Italian Trade Agency is DFW’s main trade partner, and Meta is its main media partner. Electra and Magnum provide essential support as the production and audio-visual partners, respectively. Additional support comes from OHVU for management services, Fiji Water as the hydration partner, Grow Healthy Food for catering, and Etcetera for additional management services.
