World-famous Anooki characters set to charm visitors at Dubai Design District this holiday season
See the globe-trotting eco-warriors transform d3 into their playground this Dubai Shopping Festival, which runs until 14 January 2024
Dubai, UAE, 19 December 2023: Visitors to Dubai Design District (d3), a member of TECOM Group PJSC, are in for a mesmerising sight this winter as the globe-trotting Anooki characters have turned the global creative ecosystem into their temporary playground.
Created by French designers Moetu Batlle and David Passegand, the Anooki characters are viral installations that use sound and light to spread messages about the environment. They have arrived in Dubai as part of the Dubai Lights campaign during the Dubai Shopping Festival, which runs until 14 January 2024.
The larger-than-life inflatables, illuminated by bright lights, have charmed audiences across the globe and can now be seen sprinting through d3 – as well as in other locations across the Emirate – continuing their exploration of the fragility of the planet and climate change. Titled ‘Poursuite’, their appearance will take inspiration from the d3’s contemporary architecture and ambience, telling vivid stories to enchant adults and children alike.
Dubai Design District (d3) is part of TECOM Group’s business district portfolio, including Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Dubai Studio City, Dubai Production City, Dubai Knowledge Park, Dubai International Academic City, Dubai Science Park and Dubai Industrial City.
